Celebrations 50 years Schuman Declaration

Broadcast Message for all JRC Personnel

Once again, I have the pleasure of inviting all JRC staff to the annual Schuman Day celebrations, to be held on Saturday, 13 May this year.
The morning will begin with a presentation in the New Mensa, apart from the public from 10.30 to 12.00, with Maria De Fatima Esteves Gonzalez, the Portuguese Consul General in Milan and Jose' Encarnacao, Director of the Fraunhofer Computer Graphics Institute in Darmstadt, Germany, as guest speakers. This will be followed by an aperitif for all.

The Open Day itself, featuring the visits to JRC laboratories, will be from 14.00 to 17.30 in the afternoon. Visitors should present themselves at the main entrance or the side (Mensa) entrance, with identity documents (staff service cards will suffice for internal staff).
The age limit for entrance is from 10 years upwards. Persons from countries outside the European Union who wish to visit the site on 13 May should register beforehand with the Information and Public Relations Unit by 10/5 (tel: 9889/5990), by supplying their name, surname, nationality and date and place of birth.

The day will end with a party in the Mensa from 21.00, with live Latin American music and a DJ. Entrance will cost 5.000 Lit.

Everyone is cordially invited to take part and to help the JRC Services and Institutes involved in the organisation of these celebrations, to ensure that a successful and fun-filled day is had by all.
