European Broadcasters (proposal)

Dear Mr. Pirelli,

thank you very much for your information on the European Broadcasters (proposal) 2001 JRC-ISIS Exploratory Research Programme.

The outlined project idea exactly covers the interests of the work we started in the VOICE project and it will bring us nearer to a marketable product and/or service.

Therefore our institute strongly supports the set up of this project. I will also use our good contacts to the ORF in Vienna and some further contacts to Hungarian colleagues to involve the broadcasters from there.

In addition I wanted to mention that we have contacts in the field of blind and visually handicapped people to more than 30 countries due to our International Computer Camps which we run each year (www.aib.uni-linz.ac.at/icc). For all these partners it would be very interesting to bring these ideas and services to their countries.

Therefore I hope that this important area will be accepted as a JRC research topic and that we could go on with our fruitful co-operation.
