Subject: Netdys Europe 1998

Dear Sir/Madam,

I regret to inform you that the project you submitted to the European Commission, in the framework of the Netd@,ys Europe 1998 initiative, has not been selected for a grant by our evaluation committee.

The number and standard of the projects received was very high, but unfortunately the financial resources available for funding is limited.

Nevertheless, I would like to add that even though your project cannot benefit from a Commission grant, this should not deter you from participating in Netd@ys Europe in October. The Commission wishes to encourage all proposed actions to take part in the event, and these will be labelled "Official Netd@,ys Europe 1998 Projects" (unless you specify otherwise).

The awareness-raising activities you wish to carry out on this occasion will benefit from the publicity which will be given to all Netd@ys initiatives and based on the principle of voluntary participation. I am enclosing an assortment of promotional material (posters, brochures, by-products, etc.) which you may find useful for advertising your project.
