With reference to different objectives, the activities are split
into several Projects:
- JRC-ISIS
Exploratory Research VOICE Project
JRC-ISIS supported the investigation of the technical aspects and the preliminary
activities in this field (1996-1998).
- VOICE Project TAP Accompanying Measure
The Telematics Applications Programme (TAP) of the EC Directorate General
XIII funded an Accompanying Measure, aimed at
extending the activities and developing awareness (1998-2000).
- VOICE-Schools
Project
This Project is part of the previous one and concentrates on more specific
activities addressed to the schools.
- Netd@ys-VOICE
Project Proposal
The proposal considered aspects on the integration of deaf pupils in normal
classrooms for the Netd@ys week of EC Directorate General XXII (1998).
- JRC-ISIS
Exploratory Research ACCESS
JRC-ISIS is encouraging investigation on technical aspects
related to the access of people with disability to the Information Society
(1999-2000).
- Netd@ys-ACCESS
Project Proposal
The proposal considered aspects on the access to education for students
with disability for the Netd@ys week of EC Directorate
General XXII (1999).
- European Broadcasters
Subtitling of television broadcasts, videotapes, CD-ROM, DVD, for
television, distance learning, tele-working (2001 proposal).
- InterService
Group on Disability
A collaboration between the EC Services in the field of disability
is coordinated in the ISGD Group by the EC Directorate General V.
- JRC-IPSC Exploratory Research
SESAMONET Project
SEcure and SAfe MObility NET (mobility aids based on transponder's
technology).
- Cochlea implants
Study on integrating speech recognition into hearing aids and cochlea implants
(EC Directorate General XII Medical Research).
