We are proposing this set of tables on subtitles' information and formats as a starting overview of the approaches used by different Broadcasters. The list of the Broadcasters presented in these pages is that of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) Active Members list, update 15/02/2002, at www.ebu.ch , with an addition of lines suggested by other Broadcasters or by the users.

Even if this research is proposed by the VOICE Project of the European Commission, its social and human aims are not necessarely limited to the EU geographic boundaries. Contributions are welcome from all the Broadcasters, who are invited to please provide information for filling in the tables, sending an e-mail message to: voice@jrc.it
