Using voice recognition systems in producing real-time subtitling for
the hard of hearing.
Giuliano Pirelli is coordinator of the VOICE Project, a project of the Joint
Research Centre of the European Commission (Ispra site).
In this seminar he will give a brief introduction to the use in Europe of
voice recognition systems in producing real-time subtitles for the hard of
hearing (in conferences, on television, during lessons, etc.) and will talk
specifically about the systems that the VOICE Project has helped to develop
in Italy.
